Chamber member West Boggs Park has a big weekend ahead! The 2026 Indiana Balloon Fest kicks off tomorrow with hot air balloons, live music, fireworks, vendors, activities and more.

-Golf carts will have parking just outside the gate. Carts will not be allowed inside the event area

-Handicap parking will be available

-Boats will be escorted down to the ramp through the festival. We encourage you to enjoy this event on foot due to the location.

-Conviennt parking will be available in various areas outside the entrances. Chairs and blankets are recommended to watch the concerts, fireworks etc.

Women in Local Leadership returns Thursday, September 3!

Join us for “Local Government Starts with You,” featuring Daviess County Clerk Lauren Milton and Cindy Barber with Purdue Extension.

This informative program will focus on women in elected leadership and provide practical information about becoming more involved in local government and the political process.

Participants will learn how to run for elected office, learn about our local political parties, find out what’s on the November ballot, learn how to register to vote, and tour the Daviess County Courthouse.

The program will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Daviess County Government Center.

Open to everyone. Registration is required.

Whether you’re considering a run for office, interested in learning more about local government, or simply want to become a more informed voter, we invite you to join us!
