Growing up in nearby Chillicothe and living in East Peoria, I knew I wanted to open my business in Washington. Washington provides residents and business owners with a close-knit community feel and the amenities of a larger

city.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren, camping and organizing weddings and parties. I am a member of the Washington Chamber of Commerce and proud supporter of the Washington High School athletic teams. I also volunteer with Project Graduation, a program that provides organized, adult-supervised activities for high school graduates.
I am proud to assist residents and business owners in East Peoria, Washington and the surrounding communities with finding insurance to fit their immediate and long-term needs. Everyone loves passenger pups! 🐶 If you’re traveling with your pet this summer, here are a few hacks to make sure the ride is far from ruff:

🚗 Restrain pets in the back seat where airbags are not a risk.
🌬️ Crack two opposite windows slightly to help prevent motion sickness.
🍽️ Feed lightly or skip meals before long drives to reduce nausea and accidents.
🧺 Bring an item that smells like home to help keep pets calm during travel.
🚘 Take short practice drives before long trips to reduce anxiety.
🐾 Clip a leash on before opening the car door to prevent them from bolting.

Some risks pay off, like stepping outside your comfort zone or starting a new business. Others come with big consequences and very little upside

That’s why Dad taught me, “don’t gamble on the important stuff”.

When Dad first said the words: “The little things become the big things,” I didn’t fully get it.

After all, the little things always felt so… little.
How important could one day of homework really be?
Or making my bed every morning?

But he explained how missing homework once can easily turn into missing it often, falling behind, and struggling when it matters most.

How skipping a few mornings of making my bed can turn into a messy room and the loss of a positive way to start the day.

Years later, I can see how the way I learned to handle the little things as a kid shows up in how I keep them from becoming big things as an adult.

✅ Routine maintenance on my car

✅ Making smart choices before problems show up

Nowadays, I understand that small steps, like protecting what you have worked for, can make a big difference down the road.

Because when life gets bigger, the stakes do too.
And it turns out, the little things really do become the big things.
