Thank you to Bath Volunteer Fire Department for letting us help make sure the kids got to learn all about fire safety and do a coloring page for a contest for the kids be sure to look out to vote on the best coloring page!

For Fire Prevention Week, we had the pleasure of visiting three of our local fire departments to drop off Fire Prevention Kits and show our appreciation for incredible men and women who work hard to keep our community safe. We are so thankful for the dedication, bravery, and service these firefighters give to our community every day. It was a great opportunity to stop by, connect with our local heroes, and remind them that their hard work does not go unnoticed! A huge Thank you to Bath Volunteer Fire Department, City of Washington Fire-Rescue-EMS, and Chocowinity Fire Department for all that you do. Being a good neighbor means showing up, supporting each other, and giving back to the community we call home! ♥

Today, we will take a moment to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families, friends, and communities forever changed by the events that took place that day. We honor the courage of the first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, military members, and every Americans who showed the strength and compassion in the face of tragedy. May we never forget the lives we lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the unity that brought us together. We remember. We Honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸♥

I can’t let the week end without celebrating Lori-Catherine Ball. She has been my rock when it comes to trust, getting down to the bottom of something, fighting for customers, taking care of customers and always being flexible with her schedule. She may only work 3 days a week but she puts in the work of 5 days. She is always the first one at work and her work ethic is above and beyond most. Thank you for your many years of service, help and dedication to the agency and me. I celebrate you daily but hope you celebrate today doing something fun. Thank you.
