On October 19, the NC Agromedicine Institute is bringing together women farmers, agricultural professionals, industry partners, and others from across the state for an evening recognizing the women who help shape North Carolina agriculture.

The evening will feature a panel discussion with women active in North Carolina agriculture, along with opportunities to connect with others, enjoy food and refreshments, and to highlight the many ways women contribute to our farms, families, communities, and the agricultural industry.

Registration is free! A valid N.C. State Fair admission ticket is required to enter the fairgrounds.

FSA announced on September 16 that sign up is open through December 11, 2026.

Here's the part Paul wants you to read twice.

If you do not submit a 2026 election by December 11, your election from 2025 carries forward for all crops on the farm. That sounds harmless. It is not. The farm is ineligible for payments for the 2026 program year.

📣FALL SALES CLOSING DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30! 📣

September 30th is quickly approaching! Now is the time to add fall crop coverage or make changes to your current coverage.

Fall crop coverage doesn’t mean just wheat! Coverage is also available for oats, barley, triticale, and more. Give us a call to discuss what options are available for your operation.🌾

A few important reminders:

⭐️If you don’t plant any acres, you will not be charged a premium.

⭐️If you certify acres as cover crop with FSA, those acres will not be insured with us.

⭐️Any name changes, entity changes, address changes, phone number updates, or other policy information changes need to be made now.

⭐️Recently married? If you have gotten married since February 28, 2026, we must add your spouse to your policy by September 30th. Not having your spouse added could hold up the claims process.💍

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who answered tragedy with bravery and compassion.

We remember the victims, their families, and all those whose lives were forever changed.
