Yesterday I went to the cemetery. After viewing the headstone of a loved one, I found myself reading a few more headstones of strangers. Some of the captions in addition to the obvious information read, “Humanitarian, Soldier of God, Man of Valor, A Man of Purpose and Design, Friend, Adoring, Tough Shoes to Fill, Generous, Gentleman, Devoted, etc.”
I had to ask myself, “ What few words will strangers read about me that will leave a positive impression in their minds?”

Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven".

“Not Again God, Oh Man, Not Again”

Remember when you had to take final exams to pass to the next grade? The pressure is on because now, all the tests you took during that year are combined into a final exam. The powers that be, want to ensure that you can apply all that you have learned in the advanced grade. Some pass with flying colors and some barely pass by or within a few points.
Congratulations, you are now in the promoted position! Life is going to be better now! Wait, what? You must take an entry exam so the powers that be can see what you know and learned from previous required training. Can you apply what you learned? Some will say, “Oh, I remember this,” and pass with ease. Others may say, “Not Again God, Oh Man, Not Again, I barely passed the last test” and struggle because they just want to put all those tests behind them.
There’s something to be said about the tools we must use to succeed. Some of the tools include a burning desire to succeed, prayer, discipline, faith, dedication, tenacity, goals, vision, etc.
We are always learning something. We are always being examined. It’s all in the approach. It’s a part of the process. It’s a part of our purpose and greatness. Be encouraged, with help, you got this (Philippians 4:13)!

Revelation! Epiphany! Aha Moment!

“The Harvest Is Plentiful, the Laborers Few”

Matthew 9:35-38
English Standard Version

35 And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Gardeners and Field Owners, plant seeds expecting a healthy crop to harvest in its season. If there aren’t enough Harvesters to bring in the crop (vegetables, fruit, mentees/students, problem-solvers, ideas, inventions, etc.), the harvest/crops spoil, rot, and die. The culprits (absent workers, wasted time, bugs, worms, stagnation, lack of attention to detail, excuses, etc.) destroy the crop.

Who are you called to? What problems are you called (trained and gifted) to solve? There is no competition in the mind of God (divine mind). There is enough for everyone to do their part. Your field/crop is waiting to be harvested. Will you forfeit it to loss? Let’s create a win-win for all! Let's go!!!!
