The eight-session program covers banking basics, budgeting, credit, insurance, investments, entrepreneurship, and homeownership.

🏆 This week, Industrial Bank President and CEO B. Doyle Mitchell Jr. presented the Non-Profit of the Year Award to James Knight of Jubilee Housing during the DC Chamber of Commerce Awards Presentation at the DC Chamber of Commerce Small Business Summit & Showcase. Muriel Bowser, D.C. Mayor, provided welcome remarks, and Art-to-Go-Go provided live art during the summit.

We were proud to see our customer Victor Holt recognized as Small Business Person of the Year for V-Tech Solutions and DRIPBaR DC Georgetown. It was exciting to see our partners recognized for Retailer of the Year: Madeleine Odendahl and Megan Flynn of Merry Pin, following remarks from Rosemary Suggs-Evans, Director of the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development.

After the summit, our team members were on site engaging with our network and partners, including Sybongile Cook, Craig Dean, and Virginia Ali of Ben's Chili Bowl. We were happy to have Betel Worku, Commercial Loan Assistant; Meddy Soeparta, VP, Commercial Real Estate Officer; Rob Caro, VP, Commercial Loan Officer and Jeff Banks, SVP, Business Development Manager represent the bank at the event.
