Some of the most important steps toward a second chance start with access to the right tools and resources. 🏦

Industrial Bank team members Melanee Woodard, Jacqueline McSears Boles, Daryl Drumming, Lakeysa Walker, Solomon Addo and Oluwaseyi Alao recently joined the SEED Financial Literacy Session and Second Chance Banking Fair at the READY Center in Southeast Washington, DC, alongside organizations like our partners at the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) and DC Department of Human Services (DHS), positioned to support individuals as they reintegrate into the community after incarceration.

Our team spent a productive and empowering afternoon:
→ Providing financial education around budgeting, credit and money management, and establishing bank account relationships.
Through the SEED Project, eligible participants who complete the financial literacy program can establish a bank account after release, with the DC Department of Human Services providing a $500 deposit into the account.

Financial wellness starts with access to the right resources and practical tools. 💰🤝

Industrial Bank joined Metropolitan Educational Solutions LLC in Washington, DC for a Financial Literacy Workshop at the Dorothy I. Height Library, with Jacqueline McSears Boles, Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Banking, leading the effort.
The event brought together speakers from Industrial Bank, PNC Bank, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and Marshall Heights Community Development Organization (MHCDO) to help community members build financial confidence through hands-on guidance on budgeting, saving, and credit management.
