What happens after a financial institution agrees that serving women better matters?
Lasting change in women's requires shifting how people see, and then doing the harder work of changing what they do.
Early lessons from CGAP's collective action work in and suggest that coalitions can help get there: not only by building consensus at the systemic level, but by actively supporting institutional transformation — helping teams, securing senior backing, turning commitment into action.
Collective action, if designed well, can be a vehicle for institutional change — not just coordination.
