I cracked open a fortune cookie recently, and it read: "Later today, financial opportunities will arise." It made me smile -- but also pause.

We recently refreshed our team photos -- keeping things current, polished, and aligned with who we are today. We traded spreadsheets for smiles for a bit, and had some fun along the way. It was a great opportunity to step back, spend time together, and capture the energy and personalities behind the work we do for our clients.

One more stop on the spring conference season: the Family Wealth Director continuing education symposium. , and did a great job pulling together a full agenda that made it more than worthwhile to fly down and back to Atlanta in a two-day window.

Some of my favorite sessions included:
The Family Office Resources team and from Andersen Tax -- a great reminder of how nuanced planning can create real value when executed thoughtfully;
from Global Guardian on importance of personal safety and cybersecurity;
on the firm's artificial intelligence innovations, and what that can mean for how we serve clients going forward.

It was also great to catch up with colleagues, share ideas, and learn from each other -- because staying on top of complex financial issues is essential, especially when things are in flux:

And a quick shoutout to my fantastic Delta flight crew for getting us safely home -- even when the skies looked a little challenging.

While in Fort Lauderdale recently, I also attended my first CPWA Commission meeting, as part of the Investments & Wealth Institute.

Being in the room with professionals who are deeply committed to advancing the standard of care for high-net-worth clients was incredibly meaningful. The level of thought leadership, collaboration, and forward-looking dialogue reinforced by the CPWA designation continues to be such a valuable benchmark in our industry.

I'm grateful to be part of a community that is not only focused on technical excellence, but also on shaping the future of wealth management in a thoughtful and impactful way. Looking forward to continuing the conversation and contributing to what's ahead.

Attending the Barron's Teams Summit last week was an energizing experience. I was proud to be there representing Bluestone Planning Group.

There were many standout moments, but a few of my favorites were:
Hearing Carstens talk about how his teams work to get hostages released around the world. I will always think of you, Roger, whenever Led Zeppelin comes on the radio.
Getting the chance to sit with Gundeck for dinner. Our conversation was enlightening, as always. But this time, it felt more personal, connected, and powerful.
Doing a workshop with Powell on using artificial intelligence to amplify human intelligence. It's a small shift in perspective that changes a lot.
Having a chance to thank Price for getting us all there
Problem solving with Tavoulareas. Women get stuff done!

Combined with the broader conversations throughout the summit around leadership, team dynamics, and growth, it reinforced just how important it is to show up prepared, adaptable, and aligned as a team. I'm grateful to bring these takeaways back to BPG as we continue to evolve, strengthen our culture, and deliver for the families we serve.

Yesterday, we celebrated our newest team member, Brandin's, birthday -- complete with homemade cupcakes, and some heartfelt (if slightly off-key) singing!

We know you traded Hawaii for DC, Brandin, and we're so glad you chose to join us. Here's to a long and prosperous partnership ahead! These moments of connection are the legacy our team is building -- celebrating the people who make our work possible.

Only in March! Daffodils blooming one day, a surprise snowstorm the next, and now it's Friday the 13th! If that doesn't sound like the perfect metaphor for investing, we don't know what does.

When the weather suddenly turns, you wouldn't pull up your daffodils in frustration. You'd trust that once the snow melts, they'll keep blooming. The same goes for investing. Don't uproot a well-constructed portfolio just because of a little market chill.

The key isn't predicting every storm. It's being prepared for them, and having trusted people to turn to when things feel uncertain. At Bluestone Planning Group, we help clients keep perspective through all kinds of financial weather, so when the sun returns, they're ready to grow stronger than before.

This International Women's Day, I'm feeling especially grateful for the incredible women of the Bluestone Planning Group, the women across our branch, and all the women in financial services who show up every day to make a difference in their clients' lives.

Annmarie and I had the privilege of attending the DMV Women's Summit, where so many inspiring voices came together to talk about perfectionism, teaming, growth, and support the next generation of advisors. The energy in the room was electric. It's always amazing to see how collaboration and community continue to shape our profession.

Here's to all the remarkable women lifting each other up, and leading the way forward...

We recently bid farewell to Julia Foland as she wrapped up her internship with the Bluestone Planning Group. Julia brought curiosity, professionalism, and a fresh energy to our team from day one. In true Julia fashion, she ended her time with us with a thoughtful, handwritten thank you note -- a small but meaningful gesture that reminded us how impactful personal touches can be in a digital world.

We wish Julia all the best as she takes her next steps. We know she'll continue to do great things!

What a wonderful trip to Wellington for the WIHS Winter Board Meeting! It was especially nice to escape DC's snow, and enjoy the warmer Florida sunshine, even if only for a couple of days.

A heartfelt thank you to our gracious host, Susan MacKenzie, for opening her beautiful farm to us -- an inspiring and picturesque place to gather and plan for another exciting year ahead.

I'm grateful to my fellow board member, and the incredible WIHS staff, for their tireless dedication to one of the most prestigious shows on the east coast.

Looking forward to seeing everyone -- from ponies to Grand Prix riders -- later this year!
