🎓 The Student Aid Alliance is working every day to protect and strengthen federal student aid programs like the Supplemental Equal Opportunity Grant, Pell Grants, TRIO, and Federal Work Study because every student who wants to go to college should have access to an affordable education.
In September, we brought this conversation to Capitol Hill, where we were joined by a bipartisan group of congressional staffers who came out to show their support for student aid. Staffers heard from a panel of experts on the importance and impact these programs have on our nation’s students.
We would like to issue a special thank you to our panelists, Katherine Knott, Editor, Inside Higher Ed – moderator; Heidi Carl, National Chair of NASFAA and Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director of Financial Aid, Purdue University; John Paul Abenojar, Ph.D., Chair of DC-TRIO Program and Events Committee, George Mason University; Karan Deengar, M.A., Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Blue Ridge Community College; and Nahin Ferdousi-Rokib, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow, Johns Hopkins University.
