Here's your (Medicare Educational) reminder for today: HANG UP THE PHONE, ☎️🚫 most of the phone calls you receive about Medicare are illegal. Annual Enrollment officially starts Oct 15th, so unfortunately you may start getting an uptick in these (illegal) phone calls. Do not give out your MBI (red, white & blue card) number or other info on the phone...In insurance, you can be cold called for other products (home, auto etc), but NOT for Medicare Advantage plans. Only your current agent or someone you have given permission to may call you about Medicare plan options. CMS & Social Security will NOT be calling you. (This is for educational & entertainment & communication purposes only. We are not affiliated with the US Government).

Totally worth it! 🤓
Storytime: I used to teach educational classes in the basement of a local hospital. Once, a few nurses walked by, read my sign that said "Medicare Class"...except they misread it (out loud) "MEDIOCRE Class?" Ok, fair. 😄 Join us tomorrow for an OK time, plus snacks.

Each generation has a “where were you?” date. It used to be JFK’s death. I was a teller in training at the now defunct Second National Bank of Warren. I was training at their Liberty branch. It was such a beautiful day: sunny & eerily quiet. I remember an early customer coming in & telling us to turn on the TV. As we huddled around the tv in the break room, we clasped hands to our mouths as we watched the 2nd plane hit.

The next few days were a blur of firefighters bringing us boots & coolers full of cash from donations. Our currency counters were whirring constantly counting the smaller bills. I remember telethons, people enrolling in the military. People flooding churches. A surge of unity & collective grief.

Take a moment to remember - where were you that day? 🇺🇸
