Two weeks ago I saved someone $2400 a year on their home, auto, and umbrella with better coverage.

Last week I saved someone $3500 a year on their home, auto, and umbrella with better coverage.

This week, I’ve saved a pizza restaurant $2500 a year on their insurance with great coverage and another person $4200 on their auto, home, and umbrella with better coverage!

The Lord sure has been providing! It was another great week at the office. One of the highlights:

Helping a buddy of mine save $1200 a year on his auto insurance while increasing his coverage, saving him $1230 on the insurance for his new home while providing far more coverage than his previous carrier, and also providing him a $1M umbrella that he absolutely needed. So in total, I was able to save him just over $2400 a year in insurance, yet he
is covered better than he has ever been. Even better, if he ever has a question or needs help, I am just a text, phone call, or email away. What a blessing it is to be able to help people in this way.

Scratch that, let’s not tie it to business. Who am I to prophet off the pain of another? There are families down there that need help. So let’s just get a fundraiser together and help them. I’ll get in contact with some folks down there today and get any money raised to them next week.

Here is my take on using AI in sales:

If you’re going to use it to help you market, such as creating social media posts for you, don’t make it so obvious in the post that you’re using AI. These days, most people know the difference between something Chat GPT created and something typed by you. Don’t simply copy and paste from the AI generator. In my opinion, this makes you look lazy and uninformed about the subject you’re discussing or the product you’re trying to sell. Not to mention AI is often wrong in its content. Change the AI generation up to match how you think and speak. Remove commonly used AI emojis and punctuation.

Bottom line: Using AI is fine. It can help a ton with productivity. I mean, let’s face it, we don’t all have the time to create every single social media post. But, at the very least, do the quick editing to make a post look like something you thought of and typed up rather than just throwing out whatever AI spits out.

If you plan on using an independent agent for your insurance needs, then please listen up!

Find an agent you like, and feel like you can trust, and do business with them. Don’t involve other independent agents. Predominately on the commercial side of things, independent agents can largely all quote the same carriers/brokers (minus a few differences) and will be approaching the same underwriters. If one agent gets to the carriers first, the rest of the agents are blocked from quoting. This also makes the other agents that get blocked look bad and it just bogs down the process.

Therefore, from now on, if I pass on your insurance request because you already have other agents working on it, it’s not personal. I just can’t run the risk of approaching the same underwriters and being blocked. When underwriters receive an insurance submission from me, I want them to know it’s legit, no one else is working on it, an we’re serious about business.
