“Last week, as Van Wert County Vice President, I was able to experience the full membership in being apart of Farm Bureau.

I had the privilege to attend the Presidents’ Trip to Washington D.C. to meet with representatives and talk about the important issues facing our local farmers. As one would imagine, the 2023 Farm Bill is a huge topic moving forward. We also had the chance to visit USDA and talk with staff on how their reports/surveys work.

Once I returned home, I, along with Thomas Litchenstieger, Jordan Miller, and County President Andy Drerup went to the District Legislative Lunch in Archbold to speak with our state representatives and the Ohio Department of Ag. Director. We were able to voice our concerns on many of the issues we have, from infrastructure to H2Ohio.

To finish off the week, I attended the Van Wert County Farm Bureau Membership Bowling Night. It was a great opportunity to relax and enjoy time with our neighboring farmers.

Being a member of Farm Bureau is a great way to help make sure we can carry on our farms for future generations.”
