Farming today means pressure from every direction.

Markets shift.
Inputs rise.
Weather doesn’t cooperate.
Margins get tighter.
Generations change.

This weekend, Tim & Cheyenne spoke at the Statewide Women in Ag Conference in Corning, Kansas—supporting the Pottawatomie, Nemaha, and Jackson County Conservation Districts.

Because agriculture isn’t just numbers.

It’s decisions.
It’s uncertainty.
It’s responsibility.
It’s choices.

And you’re not meant to carry it alone.

Grateful to be part of a community that shows up for each other.

If anyone has access to or has trucks available, please get in touch with Spencer Jones or Tim Strunk There are several local producers who have offered to donate hay and we will find a way to cover the fuel-we just need trucks.

Today, we saw some of the highest highs and the lowest lows. While the cattle market is setting records, we have friends suffering tremendous losses due to wildfires in southwest Kansas and the Oklahoma panhandle.

Even in times like this, one of the most powerful things about agriculture is how we come together to help one another. We are coordinating supplies to take southwest. If you’re able to help with fencing supplies, hay, trucking, manual labor, or any of the countless needs ranchers are facing right now, please reach out to me.

We will be using Flint Hills Stockyards, 27425 West Drew Rd., Saint Marys, KS, as a local collection point.

The full impact of these fires will become clearer tomorrow when the sun comes up. Please keep these families, their animals, and their livelihoods in your thoughts and prayers.

Board Member Monday!
Say hello to our 2026 Chair-Elect, Clayton Good! Clayton is currently an Agribusiness Agent with the TIG Ag division of Tyner Insurance Group in Wamego. In addition to his insurance career, he is a cattle producer in the Pottawatomie and Wabaunsee counties, raising grass calves in the summer and managing a small cow-calf herd. With a broad background in agriculture, Clayton brings a unique perspective to his work, drawing on his experience across various sectors of the industry. He believes that agriculture should be a standard portion of the curriculum in schools across the country. He joined the KFAC team because he thought it was the perfect place to help make his dream of more agriculture in classrooms a reality.
We are excited for Clayton to step into this role on the board this year!
