Winter Driving Safety Alert!!!

After this snowstorm we just had, large trucks can carry chunks of frozen ice and snow on their roofs, trailers, and wheel wells and when it warms that ice can break loose at highway speeds.

- Please keep in mind that a sheet of ice flying off a truck can shatter windshields or dent vehicles.
- In worst cases, it can cause drivers to swerve and crash.
- Staying back gives you time to react and keeps you out of the danger zone.

Always leave extra space behind trucks after a storm. If you must pass, do it quickly and carefully — never linger beside them. We see several claims like this a year so please be careful out there.
