Community State Bank Walnut Our bank was founded in 1882. It was called First National Bank. Then in 1889, it became the Walnut Bank. In November 1902, in connection with John R. Knight, Mr.

This bank built a large business and a bank building in 1890. Even after a fire destroyed the building in 1900, the stockholders had the determination to re-build a building immediately. In 1920, the bank was chartered the First State Bank of Walnut. B. F. Oakford organized the Citizens State Bank of Walnut. A merger of these two banks occurred in 1959 and the merged banks became Citizens First St

ate Bank of Walnut. In 2022 Citizens First State Bank merged with Community State Bank of Galva. In 1979, the current building which houses our main bank, was built. In 1980, the employees moved into the current building. The Bank has made many changes over the years, but one thing remains the same. Our customers are our greatest asset!

Scam season never ends.

This morning I listened to one of our staff members tell a customer, "If you're ever unsure about a situation, please come talk to us."

As bankers, we see and hear many of the current scams and like to believe we evaluate scenarios with healthy skepticism. Customers--come talk to us if you are ever in doubt. We'll help you sort through a situation to make sure it's legitimate.

Neponset office will be closed today.

Galva and Kewanee offices will open at 9AM for both lobbies and drive-ups.

Walnut office will open at 9AM and will have the walk-up and drive-up available as the lobby will be closed.

Franklin office is operating under normal hours.

New Card Controls!

You now have the ability to control your debit card from within your CSB Mobile App! Just in time for Labor Day.....er.......Hog Days.......weekend!

• Turn your debit card on or off from your mobile device for added security.
• Set alerts to know when and where your card is used.
• Set restrictions on when and where your card can be used.
• Make your own travel plans to avoid fraud alerts while travelling.
• Track spending to keep yourself on budget.
• View your card digitally.

If your phone is set to update apps automatically: Your app will update after you accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy again. You’ll see a “What’s New Screen” (those are samples and not your accounts!). Check out the card control features by clicking “Cards” in the bottom left hand corner of the app.

If your phone does not automatically update your apps: The app will ask you if you would like to update. Say yes and have the same experience as those who auto update. You can ignore the update for 22 days, but after that you will have to update the app in order to keep using it.

Enjoy this convenient way to protect your card and account!

It has been brought to our attention that when using the ATM’s in Walnut and Wyanet a surcharge may be issued when using your CSB debit card. Should you incur that $3.00 fee over the weekend please let us know and we will refund your charge. This should only be temporary as the tech will be onsite Monday to remedy that issue.

Changing information prior to the date of August 7th, may cause delays in the processing of your items. Transactions will still continue to post normally to your account with your current information for a period of time after August 7th.
