In our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we serve, CSAA Insurance Group employees came together throughout June for the AAA federation-wide Hunger Relief Campaign, volunteering alongside nonprofit partners to help individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

The results are in:

👤 218 CSAA employees volunteered at 15 events across our hubs and communities
⏱️ 493 volunteer hours logged
💲 More than $24,000 raised through employee donations, matching gifts and rewards

Thank you to everyone who helped sort food, prepare meals, pack pantry boxes and support their communities.

"My favorite moment in my CSAA internship so far was presenting during the Innovation Jam and answering questions from the judges at the end. It was also very cool to see what ideas the other teams came up with! The Innovation Jam project is the accomplishment I'm most proud of. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to put everything together, and I felt that my team and I did a great job coordinating and coming up with something viable.

This experience has helped me develop and refine my communication, networking, technical, and presentation skills at a rapid pace. One of the biggest takeaways is that it forces you outside of your comfort zone, and you automatically will experience and feel some growth gains. I’ve been excited about the opportunity to work with so many dynamic and well-rounded people. Everyone has unique and interesting perspectives, which creates countless learning opportunities." As August comes to a close, hurricane season is still active in many areas. Now is a good time to make sure essential supplies are packed, easy to access, and ready.
