Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,
I have some news šŸ“° that Gpa (Dad Krish Bala) is already aware of, so no surprises there. 😊 I have been on the lookout for the last few years for a new property - a new place to call home šŸ”. Over the last 10 days, I found just that and managed to make a deal in this crazy 😜 real estate market. As a result, I have to sell my current home in Liberty Wells Salt Lake City. I've been a busy beaver, so my home goes live on the MLS today! I have included the link šŸ”—, so check out my pride and joy 1924 Utah house Renovation project of the last 4.5 years.
Would love your support and encouragement šŸ“£ as I get through the next big steps. 🧔
Hope there will be more space for family friends and visitors in my next home šŸ” !!! Yes, I will be moving closer to both Gpa and Vikram, Maggiel, Anka and Amaru! 🩷 Come visit!
Love you all,
Valli Mom Val Valerie Grandma šŸ‘µ

You matter; your vote will matter.

It’s all finally here!!! Here’s my registration story if you’re interested. Read on. I moved to from in the middle of COVID-19. I tried to register to vote online, but it wasn’t that simple when I found out I needed a Utah Driver’s License or Identification card to register to vote online. One needs to be registered to vote at least 30 days before any given Election Day to vote in that Election. With COVID-19 restrictions, I had to wait until their website allowed online requests for an appointment. No appointments were available in Salt Lake City for the rest of the year, but I got one scheduled for mid-September just days after I was scheduled for gallbladder removal surgery. I prepared to take the test required for new residents of Utah, and my son drove me there. After getting my ticket number, I waited and got to my call window only to find out I didn’t have all the required documents and my passport (which was filed away in my packed garage somewhere). My California Driver’s License which needed to be turned in proceed in the process was not enough. They rescheduled me to October 25th, but that was less than 30 days before Election Day. I was screwed!!! Or so I thought. I did not want to be that one highly educated person that messed up and helped further the demise of my Country by not voting. I started to suffer severe anxiety and a panic attack as my son drove me away. But I have to give thanks for my kind calm son who drove me straight to the Election Office that day and made calls to the Election Office whose doors were closed to the public due to Covid-19 restrictions. An Election clerk told him we could pick up a paper application to register to vote just around the corner in the County building. My son got me the application and sat down with me to help me complete the application; my hands were shaking. We found out that I didn’t need a Utah Driver’s License to register by paper as long as I gave the last four numbers of my social security number and the place and approximate date of my naturalization. A sense of calm and peace overcame me as I placed it in the on-site ballot box.

Today, I’m working on doing a detailed budget and calculating my monthly expenses, so I can figure out an investment plan. I have never really been a budget person before, so I thought I’d start by finding out how much the average person spends on food, and I’m probably on the lower end of that spectrum. Here’s an article on it. Spend less, eat well, live more
All in all, we spend an average of about $300 per month eating out, $200 a month for groceries. This comes out to a total of about $500 per month for food.Apr 4, 2018. I’m thinking I can live frugally on $300 for food if stay accountable to myself. Of course, there will be splurges for special occasions with family and friends. How much do you spend on food per month? If you keep track, please share here!!!

The average American overspends on food that is unhealthy. People don't realize that you can eat healthy food on a reasonable budget. Not only is it healthier, but it can save you money now and in the long run. It can be delicious and fun too! Read my post and see how my wife and I eat healthy under...
