I am not advertising for life insurance on fb. If you want a policy, give me a call but the reason for this post...

One of the people I work with just got a call from a husband of a woman who had a term policy that ended 6 days before she died. This is very sad. I don't know how old she was but if you are looking to leave money behind for family, DONT GET A TERM!!!!!!

You can get a level term to last up until you are age 85. Life expectancy right now is in our low to mid 80s. In 20 years, life expectancy will probably be 90 for men and woman. Remember when people passed away at 75 and it was normal. Now that is almost 85.

Yes, a term is cheaper and more affordable, but if you outlive the policy...the people you want to leave money behind for, are now paying for your funeral out of their pocket.

Do you or do you know anyone that has an old 401k or IRA that they don't keep track of anymore. What if it were in an account with no fees and they didn't have to worry if the market crashed. How does a 6-7% rate of return sound too.

PSA: Don't wait until you are sick or 80 to get life insurance for funeral costs that you are guaranteed to have. Everyone will have a funeral at some point and everyone will incur that cost on someone.
