Last night we were honored by The Foundation for Excellence - Walled Lake Schools at the Board of Education meeting. We received an award for Outstanding Support and Generosity. We are thankful that the community feels our impact, and are even more motivated to build on our community relationships. Thanks to the Foundation for Excellence - Walled Lake Schools for thinking about us, and allowing us to be a part of all the amazing things you do in the school district.

It seems like we are frequently tagging the Walled Lake Schools Federal Credit Union in our posts... and we are! The continue to show up for the FFE because they truly care about supporting teachers and students in our district. This time, they are sponsoring the snack cart during our golf scramble to make sure our golfers are well fed during the event. A fed golfer is a generous golfer. 😉

Our branch ATM will be unavailable this Saturday, May 30 at 12:30 pm until Monday, June 1 at 8:30 am. Our driveway will be sealcoated on Saturday once the drive thru closes, and the parking lot will remain closed until Monday morning at 8:30 am. It is with extreme sadness and a very heavy heart we are notifying our members that our colleague and close personal friend, Connie Pino, has passed away. Connie was such a kind and pleasant person, and anyone that ever had the opportunity to know her could feel her kindness in their heart. She was the type of person we look up to and admire, and we will carry her spirit with us forever.

Connie touched everyone she worked with at the credit union, and our staff will be attending her funeral on Thursday. The branch will be completely closed until noon on Thursday. Drive thru service will begin at noon, and the branch will open at 2:00 pm.

Recently, we were awarded a Volunteer Service Award at the 54th Annual Michigan Week Awards! We are thrilled to receive this recognition. Thank you to all of our partners in the schools and around the community that give us opportunities to work with them, and thank you to everyone responsible for this recognition. We have been building some great relationships, and we appreciate you as much as you appreciate us!

We don’t show up to work planning to win awards, but we do try doing the right things for the right reasons. We are happy to see the community notices us and appreciates what we offer, and it fires us up to keep bringing positive, productive energy to our community. We are always happy to work with and our local community, so if we can ever be of help to you please reach out to us. Thank you!
