Happy Friday Eve!
My wife & daughter would watch Gilmore Girls as a favorite pastime & I would occasionally be sucked in by the quick pace. The show would highlight the small-town camaraderie where everyone literally knew everyone & their business. We would laugh saying this is so on point. Well, I kind of enjoy walking to the post office, bank, etc. & learning the local news.
Pictured here is the dedication plaque for Wagoner’s Post Office while John F. Kennedy was President. I think it’s pretty cool to display along with an old leather letter carrier’s bag.

Proud to be a TERO qualified Indian contractor certified by the Cherokee Nation. Photo of my great paternal grandparents: William Moore was a full-blood Cherokee & married a strong Irish woman - Delilah Thompson. They lived near the Flat Rock area. Family can be traced to New Echota, Georgia prior to the Indian Removal Act of 1830.

The overcast yesterday made for a great break from triple digits! If I heard Jeff Hamilton correctly, this group has raised $290,000+ over the past 29 years for such charities as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Children's, Wagoner Area Neighbors, Wagoner County Jr. Livestock Show, & other local charities helping kids.
