We are saddened to hear about the passing of our friend, Tom Spiece.

If you knew Tom, you knew he was a character. He didn’t take anyone’s crap but he was also a very generous person. He had a million stories and he would tell you a new one every time he saw you.

When he first met our daughter, he was so impressed by how smart she was that he nicknamed her “the professor” and that name stuck.

We last saw Tom about 6 weeks ago at his usual dinner spot, Market Street Grill. We sat down next to him and one of the first things he asked was “is the professor still as smart as ever?”

This picture of him still cracks me up. We had just purchased our RV and he was at the dealership that day. During our walkthrough, I came out to find him sitting in our living room patiently waiting to shoot the breeze. We always enjoyed our talks with him.

We know Tom will remembered for his crazy antics over the years but we also hope he is remembered for his carefree spirit and his generosity.

We are looking for a part time cleaner for our Airbnb’s downtown Wabash. Hours are between 11 am and 3 pm 1 to 5 times per week, depending on what bookings we have and usually take 2-3 hours to complete.

These are quick maintenance cleanings and bedding is washed on site.

We need reliable cleaners who will show up at 11 am and get the job done. Other main requirement is you must be a non-smoker. Nothing against smokers, however, but our business heavily depends on the ratings we receive on how clean our properties are and how they smell.

Pay is $15 per hour cash, paid by direct deposit when each cleaning is completed.
