My Gracie girl is a Type 1 Diabetic. This invisible disease is life altering. Type 1 Diabetes is relentless, ruthless, and hard! Gracie never gets a break from making sure she doesn’t die, it’s a 24/7 commitment. Diabetes doesn’t care what you’re doing, what you’re commitments are, where you’re headed, if you’re sleeping or sick… it never stops! Diabetes burnout is real! The same medicine that saves her life everyday, can kill her if miscalculated. Insulin is 4th most expensive liquid in the world behind scorpion venom, king cobra venom, and horseshoe crab blood. If Gracie didn’t have her health insurance, just her insulin would be over $5,000 a month! We need a cure! And in the meantime, we need to stop big pharma!

Adam and I had the opportunity to spend our evening with Family Services of Tulare County at their Annual Purple Party event. The evening was spent with great company to support Karen’s House, a safe house for domestic violence victims. This cause is very special to me and makes an incredible impact for women and children in dire need for help and safety! I’m grateful to be surrounded by a community willing to support such a wonderful cause! 💜

Why do they grow up so fast? 7 is my favorite age. She’s independent just enough but still needs me, she loves me, and wants to hangout with me! She thinks I’m the best Mom in the world dispite my failures and looks at me like I matter.

I am amazed everyday by my Gracie girl! She is the most resilient young woman I know. This last year we’ve spent chasing her around to watch her live her best life! She always seems to find time for her baby sisters in her crazy schedule and her love for them makes my heart so happy! Enjoy the beach today G, I’m excited to see you in a few weeks!
