Did you know that there are two different types of credit pulls and the difference in the scores can be vast? The scores you see through your free apps are called consumer scores, these are soft pulls and don't impact your credit. These scores are typically higher than what we as lenders pull because they're not specific to a mortgage. To get you qualified for a home loan we have to pull credit, there's no way around it.
