WOW! Major update!

Marko Frigelj, President and CEO of The IncuHub, has volunteered to sponsor a videographer for our toy drive in ONE WEEK!! (8 days actually, but who’s counting 🤪)

This will help to raise awareness for CISofHR and highlight the power of community! We are so grateful for this.

Please, if you have not already, donate some toys to one of our many donation drop-off locations! Otherwise feel free to bring toys to the social event on December 14th! This will qualify you for a free drink ticket!

Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

I was extremely grateful to be able to travel to beautiful Utah for a friend’s wedding and UNPLUG for a few days.

To kick off December and continue the spirit of giving, I am SO excited that our Toy Drive in support of CISofHR is in just TWO WEEKS!!

Please join us in person at New Realm Brewing on December 14th from 5-8 PM. Bring a toy for an elementary child to receive a free drink ticket!

UPDATES!

We have a new date & MANY new drop off locations. I am blown away by the outpouring of support we have received in reaching our goal of 1,200 toys for children of .

I want to say a special thank you to all of the community partners who have jumped in to help, offering discounts, drop-off locations, and much more. It is with this type of collaboration that we are able to create meaningful change.

Please join us in person December 14th for the final toy collection at . There will be drinks, live music, and dancing! If you are not able to attend in person but would like to donate toys, I have listed all of our drop-off locations below.

Today, I am feeling grateful.

I met a little girl today in a red hat and cape. It took me a second to realize she was a survivor of heart disease. She told me she was born with a rare condition and had open heart surgery at six months old.

Her and her family found the American Heart Association heart walks in 2010 & it have been attending ever since. Prior to Thrivent inviting me to attend these walks, I wasn’t aware of how serious heart disease truly is.

Today, I am grateful to be part of the solution in raising awareness & grateful to have gotten to meet purpose-driven individuals in our community.

I am so grateful to have attended the Hampton Roads Gala last night! It was an honor to represent for such a great cause.

Hi everyone!! It’s that time of year again!



I am very excited to announce that Thrivent - in collaboration our with community partners Urban Renewal Center, Southern Automotive, & Baila Fuzion - will be hosting a Toy Drive in support of Communities in Schools.



We have been working on the details of this event for quite some time & are looking for your support to make it a success! Our goal is to collect 1,200 toys to serve every single CiS student at the 4 schools we will be serving.



Please reach out with any questions & feel free to share to your socials to raise awareness! The more youth we can serve, the better.
