lege and worked as an events and wedding planner for 11 years. She sees a similarity in the stress levels and emotions between young, engaged couples and first-time home buyers. Jessica has a special talent for calming the jitters and reassuring anxious borrowers. From the outset, she prepares first-time home buyers for what’s to come, explaining the product options and requirements. She says, “I tell them I will have to get to know them personally very quickly.” Informing clients that there are many documents required during the mortgage process, Jessica explains the policies that regulate specific requirements and cautions that they may still need to provide additional documents after the initial document gathering. Her goal is to put home buyers at ease, so they won’t be alarmed when things seem out of the ordinary. Genuine and reassuring, she says, “My clients and I talk almost daily on an informal level. I want them to feel that they can ask me questions. It’s vitally important that I become their friend in the process, not just their loan officer. I can’t wait to get to the closing table, see it done, and give them a high five and/or a hug!”
