One more for the year! I love this one that my colleague shared because it's a great example of the fact that, in many cases, working with your local lender will not only provide a more personable mortgage experience, but can get you approved, even when a big bank can't.

One of my Homespire colleagues shared their story:

"After Tyrell’s wife, Ebony, was diagnosed with cancer in January 2021, the family knew they had an uphill battle. Tyrell continued to work while taking care of their 4 children and taking time off to help Ebony during her cancer treatments and multiple surgeries. Ebony beat cancer, and they started working on their goal of purchasing a home. With everything they had been through, they didn't know if it would be a real possibility but believed their faith would help put the right people in place to make things happen. We closed just in time for the holidays. At closing, I found out they hadn't told their kids about the home. Instead, they decided to decorate the house and the kids' bedrooms and surprise them on Christmas morning. The following video is what came after..."
