🌟 **Join Us for the Nowata County Fall Free Fair!** 🌟

The Nowata County Fair Board is excited to announce the 4-H & FFA Farm Equipment Operator’s Contest!

📅 Check-In: Friday, September 13, 2024, from 9:00 – 10:00 AM in the North Building
🏁 Contest Starts: Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM

Who Can Participate?
Any Nowata County 4-H or FFA member from the 2024-2025 season is welcome to join us! If you're between 14 and 19 years old and haven't graduated high school before May of this year, we’d love for you to compete!

Requirements:
You need to be comfortable operating a tractor and have a certification from your vocational agriculture teacher or county 4-H leader.

🔍 Part I: Written Test
You’ll have 30 minutes to complete a written exam focused on safety and proper handling of farm equipment and petroleum products. Remember, safety is key! For every question answered incorrectly, 10 points will be deducted, so make sure you know your stuff.

🚜 Part II: Skills Demonstration
Show off your talents as you navigate two obstacle courses that mimic real farm operations! A friendly reminder: to keep things fair, we kindly ask that all audience members stay clear of the designated contest area and refrain from giving contestants any assistance.

We can't wait to see everyone there for a fun and educational experience!
