CONGRATS! We were thrilled to award our HBCU Scholarship to three outstanding local students as they continue their educational journeys. The program, held in partnership with V-103, supports students attending or planning to attend historically Black colleges and universities. Tyler Lawrence, Taylor Harper and Camille Johnson each received a check for $5,000. We were honored to meet Tyler and Taylor at a special on-site ceremony at Delta Community, where we presented their checks in person.

Known to her students as “Commander Edwards,” she brings creativity, energy and adventure into the classroom daily. Her interactive lessons inspire students to think big, work together and take pride in learning. Through her engaging teaching style and positive encouragement, she has helped students develop a greater love for science while creating an exciting and supportive classroom environment. Her dedication to both students and families make a lasting impact far beyond the classroom.
