Tomorrow we are teeing off for a great cause.

The Boys and Girls Club is doing incredible work for the kids on this Island and their new building project deserves all the support this community can give.

You know what a boat sitting in the harbor that never leaves the dock is? It's a stock you bought, got scared, and never let run. You paid the fees, you're holding the position, you're watching everyone else make moves on the water while you're just... sitting there looking pretty and losing money on slip fees.

A boat is meant to be on the water the same way capital is meant to be deployed. It's not a trophy. It's a tool. The whole point is to move, to take on a little chop, to actually go somewhere. A boat that never leaves the harbor isn't an asset, it's a liability with a really good view.

Same with cash sitting in a savings account earning nothing. Same with a portfolio you're too afraid to rebalance. Same with the business idea you keep talking about but never launch.

The harbor is safe but the harbor is not the destination. Get the boat out. Let the money work. Stop admiring the vessel and start making some waves. Reach out to us if you have any questions.

It’s First Friday in Vineyard Haven and we’re spending the whole day at it.

Join us Friday, June 5th starting at 10 AM for the daytime art market on Beach Street Extension, featuring local galleries, artist studios, live music from Alex Elvin, and a singer/songwriter set from Janet Newton at noon. Vineyard Wealth Group will be out all day with a putting challenge — sink a putt and we’ll donate $10 to the Boys and Girls Club in honor of our annual golf tournament this Sunday, where we’re proud to be the presenting sponsor.

The fun carries into the evening at Owen Park with food trucks, tie dye, live music all night, and a Silent DJ Party on the beach to close things out. Check the full lineup at www.firstfridayvh.com.
