5.0 star review received on Experience.com for Upen Patel by Ryan M M - Upen and his team were wonderful and pleasantly easy to work with. Have to give credit where it is due, I don't now how, but Upen predicted (a day before it happened) that the mortgage broker we were working with would burn us and leave us hanging to dry after we've made an offer, so how could I not work with the man who could see the future?
Beginning our relationship with thirty days to close, he and his team were able to get us through the due diligience, appraisal, document collecting, and closing period and not getting hung up on the things the broker assured "nobody would be able to lend to us." Medical professionals (Doctors, Dentists, & CRNAs) have non-traditional employment and contractual obligations that most underwriters won't even entertain. However, Upen assured me that it could be done, and now, the day after closing, I am a believer and lucky to have been able to work with him and rely on his experience.
This was our first homebuying experience, and we don't really have a base to rely on, but Upen worked directly with our Realtor to help coordinate the various aspects of the escrow period, and notified us in a timely manner if a certain document or statement was needed for underwriting. There were a lot of documents, but again, non-traditional borrowers probably need the slew of paperwork for qualification.
I cannot recommend Upen and his team enough. If any of my collegues decide they want to purchase a home given our unique borrowing requirements, I will absolutely recommend and give them Upen's contact information.
