Stop by our annual Victoria Fire Department Open House this evening between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. for an interactive experience as you meet our local heroes and learn how you can prepare for fire emergencies at home! Hands-on activities hosted throughout the evening include riding in a fire truck, trying out your skills with a fire hose, and making your way through a smokey maze. Enjoy other free activities for the whole family!

Safety demonstrations at the Fire Station will include showing how a real-life grease fire can get really big, really quickly, how the firefighters use the jaws of life to rescue occupants of a car, and how first responders can use a drone in the skies of Victoria to aid in identifying fire locations in a burning building as well as help with search and rescue operations.

Before joining AmFam, I previously led the Human Capital department while writing client insurance policies at a Wealth Management firm in Southern California.
