Over the weekend I co-hosted my first Mother's Day "Sip, Snip, and Celebrate Mom" event at Flight Wine Bar with Roses X Fleurs 🌹 Each guest experienced a full brunch, bottomless mimosas, a photo wall, gift bags, handwritten cards, and got to create their own flower bouquet and with the special moms in their lives! All of the bouquets were absolutely gorgeous, and guests had an amazing time. Can't wait for next year!

The 2026 Discover Dry Rosé event in Geneva was amazing! So many wonderful local wineries from the Finger Lakes region were in attendance, sampling hundreds of new vintages of Rosé wine. It was great to see and connect with so many of my industry friends and showcase our many resources our New York Life Finger Lakes office has for the local community.

Follow your intuition people.

Late last year, I had a vision of bringing together local non-profits and business owners in a friendly and fun environment to cultivate more community connections and drive further impact here in Rochester.

Last week, the vision was brought to life~

My team and I, the Community Impact Team here at New York Life of the Finger Lakes, hosted the inaugural Community Forum and Networking Mixer. We couldn't have been happier with the turnout of the event and the wonderful people who joined us for the evening. Nate VanBrunt, MBA, Suronda Gonzalez, Ph.D., Shane Hug, MBA, and Heidi M. Brown you guys are the best!

I'd like to thank our managing partner Bradley Dufrane, FSCP ChFC CLU CLF LUTCF for trusting our group with this vision I held, Andrew Schaffel, AEP, CAP, FSCP, LUTCF, CLTC for giving a great speech about using philanthropic vehicles with intention, and Brendan Lyons, CPA for delivering a powerful note on updates with individual donations.

I would also like to extended gratitude to our great community partners Tito's Handmade Vodka and Rochester Area Community Foundation, your support means so much to us!

Lastly, I'd like the thank Mark Ippolito and his staff at the Carlson for opening their arms to this event and great cause. We're pumped to continue this great work further help our community.

Heidi Bear Brown and I hosted our April Small Business Saturday Customer Appreciation Event at Pet Supplies Plus in Webster during their adoption day with Operation Freedom Ride. It was great to see all the pups who were looking to get adopted, and even the kitties who get to stay in store as they grow. Each store is independently owned and operated, and they do such a great job with the variety of products they sell, and their staff is super friendly! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend my first Livingston Associates Leadership Summit at Golisano Institute! Agustin Amores-Aguiar and I were able to learn so much from top leaders in our great Rochester community. There are so many takeaways that I walked away with, and awesome people I was able to connect with.
