In October 1967 there was a credit union started for the International Paper Mill employees and their immediate family members. In 1968, the credit union changed their name to Vickswood Credit Union due to amount of members that was established. Over years there was a merge with Anderson Tully Credit Union and also the Vicksburg Warren School District Credit Union. In 2014, VWCU expanded the field
of membership to also include persons who live in, work in, attend school in, or worship in Warren County, MS and Yazoo County, MS., and businesses and other legal entitles within the boundaries. In April of 2017, we changed from a state charter to a federal credit union. Vickswood Federal Credit Union currently serve those who LIVE, WORK, WORSHIP, or ATTEND SCHOOL in Warren and Yazoo County. Credit unions are member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperatives that are established to serve a particular group of individuals with a common bond such as employment, associational affiliation or geographic affiliation.
