1994. Stowe Theater Guild community theater. I played a pirate in Peter Pan, and apparently I was so rambunctious backstage, they almost fired me. Thank you to whoever it was who let me stick around despite my antics. I was obsessed with theater then, and I’m just as obsessed with it thirty years later. Hopefully my backstage decorum has improved somewhat. To all the loud little theater kids tuning in to the Tonys tonight, as Emma Goldman says, we’ve been waiting for you. I can’t wait to see what you all dream up. See you soon.
