MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT BEGINS OCTOBER 15

Medicare can be confusing, and heading into 2027, there are plenty of questions.

What changed with my plan?
Are my prescriptions still covered?
Are my doctors still in network?
Should I have Medicare Advantage or Original Medicare with a Supplement?
What can I change, and when can I change it?

One important starting point:

Medicare Open Enrollment runs October 15 through December 7.

This is the annual opportunity to review and make changes to Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug coverage for the upcoming year.

And remember, January 1 through March 31 is a different enrollment period, the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, which applies to people already enrolled in Medicare Advantage.

CMS is issuing a one-time $90 Medicare Part B premium rebate to certain beneficiaries in October 2026.
Eligible beneficiaries generally must have Original Medicare Part B, live in the United States, pay their own Part B premium without Medicaid premium assistance, and not pay IRMAA. Medicare Advantage beneficiaries are not eligible.
