The "Cone of Uncertainty" just got a makeover for 2026, and it’s a game-changer for Venice. 🌀
The National Hurricane Center has rolled out updates to help us stay safer. The biggest change? Tracking maps now show inland wind warnings on the main graphic. As we know in Southwest Florida, the wind doesn’t stop at the beach!
There’s also a new experimental cone being tested that captures those unpredictable, slow-moving storms more accurately. It’s all about a clearer picture of the risks before the clouds roll in.
While these tools are great, reading them can feel like a foreign language when a storm is brewing. That’s where we come in. We’re here to translate those maps into what actually matters for your home and family: from wind mitigation to active flood coverage. Having a local neighbor in your corner makes all the difference.
We want you to feel protected, not overwhelmed.
Are you a "check the tracker every hour" neighbor, or do you prefer the daily highlights?
