We came aboard as sponsors… and one of our own nearly sailed away with a cruise!

Caldwell Trust Company enjoyed dropping anchor at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, for the Greater Sarasota Chamber’s 106th Annual Meeting, presented by Shumaker.

It was a great day connecting with fellow business leaders, catching up with Chamber board member Mya Giles and President & CEO Heather Kasten, and seeing the Chamber crew deliver an event that was shipshape from bow to stern.

The plot twist? Our own Jackson Shaw, Trust Officer, made it to the finals for a cruise for two! He came this close to trading the boardroom for the open sea, but the grand prize had other plans.

Thanks to the Greater Sarasota Chamber for keeping our local business community sailing in the same direction. Until the next voyage!

Three Projects. One Purpose.

At Caldwell, being part of a community means more than just working here—it means rolling up our sleeves and giving back to the people, places, and wildlife that make Sarasota so special!

Recently, six of our team members joined the Greater Sarasota Chamber’s annual "Fall for Sarasota" event (shoutout to the Baltimore Orioles for sponsoring!). We split up to tackle three completely different projects, all with one goal: making a meaningful difference.

- Protecting our Wildlife: Alyssa “Ali” Orme spent her day volunteering with Save Our Seabirds on Longboat Key.
- Empowering the Next Generation: J. Mason Askew, Molly Setsma, and Jackson Shaw teamed up to refresh and update the playground at Innovation Academy SRQ.
- Spreading Comfort: Alisa Craton and Sheryl Vieira crafted cozy comfort blankets for patients through Empath Tidewell Hospice.

Whether it’s caring for local wildlife, building a brighter space for kids to play, or wrapping someone in comfort during a tough time, Caldwell Cares is all about showing up. We are so proud of our team for putting our values into action!

Giving back to the communities we serve is part of who we are at Caldwell Trust Company. Our team believes that making a difference doesn’t always require a grand gesture—it can be as simple as showing up, lending a hand, and helping create meaningful experiences for others.

Recently, one of our team members, volunteered with Holiday House SRQ at Gocio Elementary School, helping distribute more than 600 pairs of brand-new sneakers to students.

We’re proud of our staff for continuing to put Caldwell Cares into action and grateful for the opportunity to support an organization working to remove barriers and provide resources to local children.
