Credit can be confusing, especially when you're seeing different scores than your lender and you don't understand why. There are a variety of different scoring models, each one specific to a particular product. If you're not looking at the correct model for what you're applying for, you could be in for quite a surprise when you have credit pulled. Do you need to raise your credit score?

If you had credit pulled and your scores aren't quite there yet, being added as an authorized user to a spouse or immediate family member's cards could give you that extra edge. Being added to their cards won't have an impact on their credit, however if they increase their balance or miss a payment it could be detrimental to yours!
