What's happening with home sales in Washington and Oregon? The latest numbers show fewer homes are selling in both states compared to last year. Washington home prices are down 1.5%. Oregon home prices are up 1.0%. And sales activity is down roughly 5–6% in both states.

The rate relief program is back for a limited time!! This program allows you the opportunity to get a mortgage rate 1.5% lower than the current market. To be eligible, you must make less than 80% of the area median income. In the general Vancouver area, that would be $99,280. If you know someone who is thinking about buying a home, this would be the perfect opportunity to secure a much lower rate than what the market is at right now. Funds will go quickly though!

💰What does a mortgage lender look at when they ask for your bank statement? It is mainly to verify that the money that we are needing to verify is in your account. We are also looking for any large or cash deposits. Those are not a problem necessarily, but we will need to verify where they came from if they are greater than 25% of your monthly income.
