As many of you know or have seen in my profile I was a classroom teacher for 9 years. I loved what I did and loved helping kids learn and grow. Yet I felt there was more which is what caused me to look else where.
There are a lot of people in education currently that are looking for a transition, whether they’ve said it out loud or not (they feel overworked, underpaid, micromanaged). However, they think. like I did that they don’t have skills that translate to other industries, which is absurd.
Educators have a tremendous skill set. They understand people. They have to nurture relationships. They often have to provide a great experience by doing a lot with a little. They know how to motivate the unmotivated.
