I walked into the MN Christian Chamber of Commerce coffee networking event yesterday morning expecting good conversation, but I left feeling genuinely inspired.

You guys, this room was filled with 30+ business owners on fire for Jesus!! 👏🏼

Being surrounded by business owners who openly share their faith, pray together, and lead with a heart to serve families lit my fire!

Thank you to Kasha Jankowski and Rhonda Kalal for leading such a powerful meeting. You both have the most genuine hearts.

Purpose-driven community just hits differently.

Yesterday, I had one of those moments that really stuck with me.

I was sitting in a meeting with a client when she said: “Thank you for explaining everything to me like a 3rd grader. No one has ever taken the time to break it down this way.”

That simple comment reminded me why I love this work so much.

Finances can feel intimidating, and too often people are left in the dark by complicated jargon. For me, the most rewarding part isn’t just helping clients manage their money — it’s helping them understand it.

When someone walks away feeling confident instead of confused, that’s the win. That’s the part that lights me up.

At the end of the day, education builds empowerment. And empowerment builds better financial futures.

Financial planning isn’t just about picking investments or managing accounts. It is about building something lasting.

On a recent call, someone said that entering a dedicated planning relationship is like hiring a general contractor for your finances. That analogy stuck with me.

When you work with a financial advisor in this way, you're not just getting help with one-off tasks. You're building a comprehensive plan. I get to know your full financial blueprint—your goals, values, tax situation, legacy wishes, and more.

So when the “plumber” is fixing one part of your financial house and a “drywall issue” pops up, you don’t need to scramble to find someone else. I’m already there, coordinating the moving parts and making sure everything fits together.

If you’re ready to stop piecing things together and start building with purpose, let’s talk.

Thrivent magazines hit mailboxes this week, and our 1-year-old dove right in.

He is clearly taking his financial literacy seriously 🤓

He may not be able to read yet, but he has great taste in content.

Every time football is on, our living room transforms into a mini stadium.

Our 3-year-old son suit up (in pajamas, of course).

My husband tells him what routes to run.

There are fumbles, tackles, and touchdowns.

More importantly, there is learning, bonding, and pure joy!

I get to sit back and watch (boy mom perks), but let me say…

There is power in a dad with a foam football. Through that football he is teaching passion, patience, and play!

(I wish you could see the live photo of my husband celebrating when the catch was caught!)

đź’ Money Myth #3: A high income automatically means financial security

Let’s bust a myth that still lingers in many minds:

Earning more doesn’t guarantee you’re financially secure.

In fact, high income often masks poor financial habits. I've seen individuals earning $200K+ living paycheck to paycheck.

Luxury cars. Designer clothes. Exotic vacations… and zero savings.

As income rises, so does lifestyle inflation
As income rises, “a budget is not needed”
As income rises, money slips through the cracks

True financial security is built on:
Spending less than you earn
Having an emergency fund
Investing consistently
Managing debt wisely
Understanding your financial goals

It’s not about how much you make. It’s about how you manage what you make.

Want to manage what you make well? Let’s talk.

“Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing.” – Proverbs 20:4

This study section hit me hard this morning.

This verse is a powerful reminder that God calls us to be diligent stewards of what we've been given. Whether it's our time, resources, or finances, planning ahead and acting in season is not just good advice - it's biblical wisdom.

Those who prepare, save, and invest with purpose are often better positioned to weather life’s uncertainties and enjoy the "harvest" in due time.

Financial planning isn’t just about money. It’s about honoring God with foresight, discipline, and trust in His provision.

Reach out if you're ready to take steps toward financial stewardship that aligns with biblical principles. That type of planning fuels me!

💭 Money Myth #3: “I don’t need life insurance if I’m young and healthy.”

Let’s bust this one wide open.

Being young and healthy is exactly why life insurance is something to consider, not something to put off. Why?

Protecting those you love

Life insurance is (typically) about protecting those you love. Even if you don’t have dependents now, planning ahead ensures your future family, partner, or even business isn’t left unprotected.

Lower premiums

Your age and health are two major factors in how much you’ll pay. The younger and healthier you are, the more affordable your policy will be. And you can often lock in rates (& risk class) for decades.

Future-proofing

Life can change quickly. A medical diagnosis or unexpected event can make coverage more expensive..or harder to get.

Building wealth early

Some policies offer a cash value component that may grow over time. This means life insurance can be part of your broader financial strategy.

🎯 Life insurance isn’t about expecting the worst. It’s about being responsible, forward-thinking, and financially smart.

💭 Money Myth #2: “I’m too young to think about retirement planning”

If you’re in your 20s or 30s, retirement might seem like a distant dream, something to worry about “later.” But here’s the truth: starting early is one of the smartest financial moves you can make.

Why?

Time is your greatest asset. The earlier you start, the more time your money has to grow through compounding interest. Even small contributions now can turn into a sizable nest egg down the line.

Flexibility and financial clarity. Early planning means less pressure later. It opens doors for career changes, education, or even early retirement if you want it.

Build good habits. Getting comfortable with saving and investing early helps you develop financial discipline that lasts a lifetime.

Retirement isn’t just for “old people”. It’s a future worth investing in, no matter your age. Don’t wait until it feels urgent.

What’s one small step you’re taking or could take today toward your financial future? I’d love to hear it!
