2026 Conforming loan limits were announced today.

How does this impact buyers?

An increase in the county loan limit can give buyers a chance to use Conventional financing with lower down payment requirements opposed to Jumbo financing (loan amount above the county limit).

It’s a small increase from 2025 but can make a big difference for some if it’s the house of their dreams and a buyer cannot qualify to utilize jumbo financing due to down payment requirements or other factors.
