Steve is a native Iowan, who has lived here his entire life. He began his education in the Waukee school district, and completed his secondary education at Stuart-Menlo, where he still has family.
Steve graduated from Iowa State University in 1988 with a degree in Agricultural Business, and in July of 1987 he became a College Agent for Northwestern Mutual.
Now Steve enjoys his role as the President and sole-owner of Reed Financial, LLC.
Steve brings 32 years of experience to his clients, and tirelessly works to serve their needs and meet their goals. He accomplishes this goal through building client relationships and providing excellent customer service. These relationships are important to Steve because it allows him to help people accomplish their financial planning objectives. Specifically, he listens to his clients, he asks thoughtful/strategic questions designed to get a better mutual understanding of what they want to accomplish for themselves and their loved ones, and then advocates for them what is best to get them to those goals.
Overall, Steve works to personalize the experience for each one of his clients, so they all walk away feeling heard, understood, and well-served.
Over the past 30 some years, Steve has had the privilege of working with many people, their families, and businesses and employees, assisting them through the various life stages of the financial process. One of his business goals is to be viewed by his clients as their most trusted financial advisor. This motivates him to really understand his client and what’s important to them not only now but as they go through life's changes. These changes are things that must be addressed and dealt with, which is why the annual review (if not more frequent) is so important. These reviews ensure the strategies originally implemented continue to serve the ever-evolving financial plan, and when needed, make the necessary adjustments along the way.
Steve can also connect with his clients due to his many interests, one of which is travelling. He has visited Australia and Europe, where he met his wife, Olga, whom he married in June of 2013. They have two wonderful sons named David and Nicholas. Steve’s family motivates him to serve his clients better because he sees the faces of his family in each of his clients, and his faith encourages him to serve others with the highest standards of integrity.
