Are you planning on making a big purchase for a special someone this Valentine’s Day? If so, you might not realize that high-value items will need a separate insurance policy.

If you’re buying jewelry, fine art, or collectibles this Valentine’s Day, make sure you have:

✅ An appraisal to determine the value of your purchase, which should be updated regularly.
✅ Well-documented receipts, serial numbers, and appraisal results.
✅ Separate coverage to ensure full protection beyond your standard homeowners policy.

Leaving valuables underinsured could mean that you don’t receive the full value of the item if something were to happen to it.

Give us a call, and we can help you get a separate policy set up for any big purchases you plan to make this Valentine’s Day. Let’s make sure your valuables are properly protected.

To start the new year off with some positivity, we’re sharing a heartwarming story from Victoria, Australia, where a golden retriever named Denni surprised her owner by offering an unlikely ride to a baby koala.

Upon hearing some commotion in the yard, Denni’s owner, Steve, stepped outside to find the young joey clinging to Denni’s back, perfectly content. It’s believed the koala had fallen from a nearby tree, and Denni instinctively offered comfort and support.

After a brief adventure around the backyard, Steve carefully returned the baby to a nearby tree, where its mother later came back to retrieve it. A simple gesture from one animal to another, but one that continues to bring smiles around the world.

The start of the year isn’t about getting it perfect; it’s about getting started.

January is the perfect time to push past hesitation and take that first step, even if it means stumbling along the way. Growth doesn’t require perfection. It requires effort, consistency, and the willingness to try again and again.

What’s one thing you’re committing to try this month? Let us know in the comments.

The holidays are a time for giving and receiving. Whether you're giving or receiving gifts like fine jewelry, electronics, or artwork, now is the time to ensure they're properly protected.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

🎁Access receipts and appraisals for documentation.
🎁Notify your agent to update your coverage with a personal articles policy or endorsement.
🎁Act quickly, as many policies have deadlines for adding newly purchased items.

Additionally, if you've traded in or purchased a new vehicle during the holidays, be sure to report the change to your auto insurance carrier to maintain appropriate coverage.

Not sure if your current policy has you covered? Reach out today. We’re here to help ensure your peace of mind.
