Wow! What an amazing networking event this morning at Beca House Coffee Company. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to grab a coffee and doughnut, and connect with our friends, neighbors, and community partners. It's been a long winter, and this morning was exactly what we all needed, a Business Boost. Congratulations to Deanna Lucas. ❄️ After the Snowstorm: Stay Safe in Sub-Zero Temps ❄️

• Watch for ice. Refreezing can happen overnight—use salt or sand on walkways and driveways to prevent slips and falls.
• Check your pipes. Let faucets drip slightly, open cabinet doors, and watch for signs of frozen or burst pipes.
• Clear vents & exhausts. Make sure dryer vents, furnace vents, and gas appliance exhausts are free of snow and ice to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
• Use space heaters safely. Keep them at least 3 feet from anything flammable and never leave them unattended.
• Check your roof & gutters. Safely remove heavy snow buildup to help prevent ice dams and water damage.
• Be cautious with generators. Use outdoors only—never in garages or near windows.
• Limit travel when possible. Black ice is common after storms, especially on bridges and shaded roads.

- Limit travel and drive cautiously on icy roads
- Have enough food, water, and necessary medications
- Keep an emergency kit in your vehicle
- Use space heaters safely and never run generators indoors
- Allow faucets to drip to help prevent frozen pipes
- Dress warmly, limit time outdoors, and bring pets inside
- Check on elderly neighbors or family members
- Keep phones and other necessary devices charged
- Keep flashlights and blankets nearby
