"Attorney" and "lawyer" are synonymous in most states. However, there are subtle distinctions in other states where the terms carry slightly different meanings.

In some states, a "lawyer" is anyone who has completed law school and passed the bar exam, regardless of whether they actively practice law.

On the other hand, the term "attorney" specifically refers to a lawyer who is authorized to represent clients in legal proceedings such as in court.

I started Bradley & Barnett Agency because I wanted to have my own business and use my training to help others. I have always wanted to be a business owner because I love the energy, problem solving and freedom as well as the ability to impact the lives of others.

I've practiced law for more than 25 years focusing on contract law and intellectual property. Many times I assisted clients when something went wrong, the majority of my services were reactive in nature. Now, I am able to utilize my legal training in the insurance industry proactively.

Since insurance policies are contracts, my legal training gives me the expertise to better understand policies and the contract language. I help clients everyday assess and manage their risk.

I am blessed to work with a talented team of women who share my passion, and we have the privilege of solving problems and creating solutions every day!
