This one is personal.

My family and I live with a proposed data center development in our backyard and Intel within a quarter mile, and we recently shared our concerns with Spectrum 1 News. Like many homeowners, we're worried about the impact increased traffic, noise, and large-scale development could have on our neighborhood and quality of life.

Going through this has given me an even deeper appreciation for something I talk about every day in my mortgage profession: a home is more than just a property. It's where memories are made, where families put down roots, and often one of the biggest financial investments they'll ever make.

As both a homeowner and a loan officer, I believe people deserve to understand how community changes can affect their homes and their future. I'm sharing my interview in hopes of raising awareness and encouraging thoughtful conversations about growth, development, and protecting the communities we love. ❤

Data-center buyouts and limited home construction are increasing competition for remaining properties in Johnstown, while one homeowner living beside the development worries she may not be able to afford a comparable move.
