When was the last time you reviewed ALL of your insurance instead of looking at one policy at a time?

Life changes. Cars change. Homes change. Jobs change. Income changes. Families change. Your coverage should not stay frozen while everything else keeps moving.

A simple annual review can look at auto, home, life, health, retirement protection and business needs. Sometimes the result is a change. Sometimes it is simply confirmation that what you have still makes sense.

DM me REVIEW if you want to go through the big picture.

Does an older parent or loved one live alone?

A good family safety conversation can include emergency contacts, medications, important documents and what to do if help is needed.

Personal emergency response options may be worth exploring for older adults who want to remain more independent at home and for families who want added peace of mind.

If you rent your home or apartment, your landlord's insurance usually protects the building, not your personal belongings.

Renters insurance can help protect things such as furniture, clothing, electronics and other personal property after certain covered losses. It may also include personal liability coverage and additional living expense benefits depending on the policy.

A good review should ask:
• What would it cost to replace your belongings?
• Do you have valuable items that need special attention?
• What liability limit makes sense?
• What deductible can you comfortably handle?

If you rent and have never looked at renters coverage, DM me RENTERS.

Planning a trip? Do not assume your regular health plan works the same way everywhere you go.

Before international travel, it is worth checking:
• emergency medical coverage
• provider access outside the U.S.
• evacuation or transportation benefits
• prescription needs
• deductibles and limits
• whether coverage must be purchased before departure

Travel medical coverage is about knowing what the plan actually does before you need it.

If you have international travel coming up, DM me TRAVEL and I can help you review options before departure.

Federal employee benefits can be valuable, but the bigger question is whether all of your benefits actually work together.

A good review looks at things like:
• life insurance
• retirement income
• survivor protection
• health coverage in retirement
• beneficiary choices
• debt and mortgage obligations

The goal is not to replace benefits you already have. It is to understand where the gaps may be and what needs to be coordinated before retirement.

If you are a federal employee or retiree and want help organizing the big picture, message me FEDERAL.

Retirement planning is not only about how much money you have accumulated.

It is also about turning what you have into income you can actually live on.

Questions worth reviewing:
• What income will be guaranteed or predictable?
• Which expenses will continue every month?
• How much market risk are you comfortable carrying close to retirement?
• What happens if you live longer than expected?
• What assets do you want available for family or emergencies?

There is no one-size-fits-all retirement product. The first step is understanding the income picture before choosing a solution.

DM me RETIREMENT if you want to schedule a retirement-income review.

Insurance and annuity products have terms, limitations, surrender provisions and carrier-specific guarantees.

Young adults, life insurance is not only something to think about when you are 40 or 50.

Some term life policies offer a Return of Premium option. That means if you qualify, keep the policy in force, and meet the policy requirements through the end of the term, eligible base premiums can be returned under the contract.

The tradeoff? Return of Premium term generally costs more than regular term insurance, so I compare both before making a recommendation.

If you are 18+ and working, DM me ROP and I will show you regular term versus Return of Premium term side by side.

One of the hardest conversations adult children eventually face is also one of the most useful:

“Mom, Dad… what do you actually want us to do when the time comes?”

Before buying any final expense policy, I would want a family to know:
• Burial, cremation or another plan?
• Is there already life insurance?
• Who is the beneficiary?
• Is there a waiting period?
• Would the current benefit realistically cover the plan?
• Who would be responsible for the remaining cost?

You do not have to make the conversation gloomy. The purpose is to keep the family from having to make every financial decision while grieving.

If you are helping a parent review coverage, DM me PARENT. I can help you understand the options and questions to ask.

I keep seeing “final expense insurance” in TV ads and mailers. So what is it actually?

Most final expense coverage is simply a smaller permanent life insurance policy, often whole life, designed to leave money to your beneficiary that can help with funeral, burial or cremation costs and other final expenses.

What matters is not the fancy name. What matters is understanding:
• Is the benefit immediate or is there a waiting/graded period?
• Is the premium designed to stay level?
• How much coverage does your family actually need?
• What does the policy really cover?

If you or your parents have a policy you do not fully understand, DM me REVIEW and I will help you look at what you actually have before you buy anything else.
