Capital Financial Planning Charitable Foundation A donor advised account of US Charitable Gift Trust, Capital Financial Planning Charitable Foundation invests in communities.

Since 2008, Capital Financial Planning Charitable Foundation has supported not-for-profit organizations in the communities where we live, work, and play. Through both direct donations and matching gifts, this donor advised account established through US Charitable Gift Trust helps to enhance quality of life through charitable contributions to social causes. The Foundation is funded through a signature annual golf tournament and auction, private donations, and other fundraising activities.

We are so grateful for all of the support from our golfers, dinner guests, sponsors, donors, volunteers, advisors, associates, and friends who made our 10th annual CFP Charitable Foundation golf tournament and dinner party such a tremendous success and enabled this donation. We have learned so much about hunger, food insecurity, and food deserts in our communities and how Food Pantries for the Capital District's network of food pantries enhances the lives of tens of thousands of people each year.

Congratulations to the team of Michael McCamy, Dan Ireland, Pat Ricci, and Jeff Pollard for winning the CFP Corporate Cup with the low gross score and to Adam and Carolyn Neary and Trevor and Julie Morison for winning the low net. A big salute to Rich Flaherty for winning the putting contest! Thanks to everyone who joined us for a great day of golf at Albany Country Club!

We were well-fortified before we headed out on the course with a fantastic bbq lunch courtesy of 2Shea's Catering. Ed and Eddie Shea and their team brought their A game - outstanding pulled pork, sausage and peppers, chicken, and cheeseburgers combined with those delicious salads hit the spot! Did you know that 2Shea's has supported our event for 10 years? And, they are our caterer of choice from casual to formal and everything in between. Hey, did I mention those amazing cookies and brownies - some golfers smuggled a few onto their carts to eat as they drove around....yeah, they were pretty great! www.2sheacatering.com - they do it all and are so great to work with!!!!!

Getting lots of calls today complimenting Albany Country Club as well as the awesome sliders from Swifty's in Delmar, the indulgent macaroni and cheese from Druthers, and the terrific make-your-own granola from Tierra Farms! Nobody went hungry on the course! And, to have a chance at winning the amazing Blazer from DePaula was a big hit as well. We are busy writing thank you notes but we wanted to give a shout out to these wonderful businesses that made our event so fantastic

Wow! What a day - we lucked out with the weather despite a precarious early morning rain and we had a wonderful time - Albany Country Club was great to us - everyone loved the food and we are so appreciative of all our golfers and dinner guests who came out to support the day. Thank you to all who made this day possible through donations and through planning and working on the event. Thanks to all of you, more people will have access to nutritious food - food was essential in the very foundation of civilization and is so important in the success of all people. YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE AND WE ARE SO GRATEFUL.

Tomorrow is the big day - we appreciate all the folks at Albany Country Club who will be setting up and making sure it is great as always. Hosting the tournament here for 9 out of our 10 tournaments gives us great peace of mind. Can't wait for the delicious food and amazing golf. So many amazing auction prizes - very excited about the golfer gift this year - also about the 3 $1,000 charitable donations we will be raffling off - the ability to send positive ripple effects into our community is our "why" - we can't wait to see the results! Looking forward to making a difference for CANstruction and Food Pantries for the Capital District!
