Years ago I visited a doctor because I was having knee pain. After evaluating me, I'll never forget what he said...
Based on your age (I was 40 at the time), he said "I'd take it easy. You're getting older so you need to scale back on what you should be doing. Avoid doing anything too intense and just focus on walking. I know it's not what you want to hear, but it's just part of aging." 🚫
Thanks Doc.
I left and never looked back. 💥
I've since climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, Machu Picchu, completed an Ironman triathlon, ran marathons, biked countless miles, lifted countless weights and have pushed myself harder with each passing year.
There's a reason they are called "second opinions" and not facts. 💯
This doctor meant well, but he was wrong.
You see, opinions are subjective perspectives shaped by personal experiences, biases, and limited knowledge. They are not grounded in concrete evidence and can vary from person to person.
Unfortunately, in the world of medicine, opinions can sometimes overshadow facts. Doctors, despite their extensive training and expertise, are still human beings. They can be influenced by biases, trends, and even limited information. It's important to remember that they too can offer opinions rather than absolute facts. ❗️
So what does this mean for us? It means we must become active participants in our own health journeys.
Let's not be sheep, blindly following opinions. 🐑 It's time to rise above the noise, to tap into our inner warriors, and forge our own path to optimal health. 🏋️♀️💪
Educate yourselves. Seek out reliable sources, consult multiple experts, and never be afraid to challenge the status quo. It's your body, your temple. 🏛️
Our bodies are complex and unique, and it's essential to make informed decisions based on the best available evidence. 🏋️♀️💪
Let's empower ourselves by separating opinions from facts, cultivating a discerning mindset, and taking charge of our health.
Stay strong, stay informed, and let's make our health a priority! 🔥
